Paderborn - It is jubilee time for the international show jumping tournament at the Paderborn Schützenplatz. For the 20th time, local heroes as well as young horses and riders from East Westphalia-Lippe will meet international show jumping greats at the OWL Challenge from September 8 to 11. The best sporting conditions and Westphalian cosiness in the shade of the old chestnut trees, which make the showground one of the most beautiful in Germany, attract the international show jumping squad to the Pader.

With a very highly endowed two-star tour with the Championat of Paderborn and the Grand Prix of OWL, the FUNDIS Youngster Tour, the SPOOKS Amateur Trophy, the Hagedorn YOUNGSTER Pony Trophy and many other sporting highlights, the Paderborn Show Days are an experience for big and small horse fans. This year, the foal auction of the Westphalian Horse Stud Book will also thrill the audience.

"A 20th anniversary must of course be celebrated," emphasizes Meinolf Päsch, Chairman of TuPaRe (Turniergemeinschaft Paderborn und Region e.V.). "We were one of the very few tournaments that did not have to take a corona break. That was a challenge for organizers and participants and to have managed that, we are also a bit proud. Now we want to use the anniversary to build on the successes of recent years. The region is very much looking forward to the OWL Challenge 2022."
