Hamburg - She is simply a Derby queen. Kathleen Kröncke - better known to many by her surname Keller - has once again secured the blue ribbon of Derby winner after 2011. Her own partner was Hampton Court and the 32-year-old also knew how to set the scene for her competitors' horses. In the final of the Almased 62nd German Dressage Derby, she relegated Frederic Wandres, who brought Dom Perignon along in the horse change, and Hendrik Lochthowe to the places. "I really didn't expect it," Kröncke beamed after her triumph. "Freddy and Hendrik are such good riders. It was incredible, their horses were great to ride and made it very easy for me."

The best horse was Hendrik Lochthowe's Bricco Brione, who delivered scores above 70 per cent with all three riders. "He showed with the two of them how good he is to ride and he was really motivated and prepared to the point this weekend," Lochthowe enthused about his long-time sport partner. "I am absolutely delighted that they both did so well with him."

The beaming winner in the German Pony Dressage Derby presented by Selleria Equipe was Viktoria von Braunmühl ahead of Sophie Luisa Duen and Coralie Zumbansen. "It was a great challenge," Viktoria von Braunmühl told us, "It's actually hard to believe, it hasn't really sunk in yet that I won. With their ponies NK Cyrill, Cosmopolitan NRW and Amicelli, the three U16 riders delivered a great final with a pony change in the Anrecht-Investment Dressage Arena, where NK Cyrill emerged as the best pony.
